Smooth Lock Conditioner

Axed great hair products line & replaced it with inferior products. I’ve used Smooth Down line for 10+ yrs & it was GREAT. The replacement, Smooth Lock, is bad. U’ve lost a loyal customer & w/o Smooth Down, I’ll be gone forever. Not first marketing slip Redkin made by axing a product line. How many mistakes will your customers overlook? I've been using Smooth Down shampoo and conditioner for years. In December I buy enough for the year. Yesterday I bought my usual batch only to find out that the product had changed. I used it once and it really is so disapointing. The conditioner is horrible and runny, not rich and pleasant smelling like the Smooth Down. I'm a loyal Smooth Down user and terribly disappointed in the Smooth Lock product. It's made my hair dry, dull...unhealthy looking. Smooth Down was amazing - I'm going to hoard as much of it as possible. Please bring it back!

I switched to Smooth Lock from Redken Colorcare shampoo and conditioner - as the formulas changed and weren't working any more - couldn't get tangles out in the shower or comb through easily afterward. With Smooth Lock I had same problems, plus I now have acne ton my neck , behind my ears and at my temples. I am 51 and haven't had acne for ages - I think it is the conditioner. Redken Fix it!

in comparison to smooth down this is a horrible product. It leaves my hair in a tangled mess and the conditioner is watery (not good ). I have very long hair and the tangles smooth LOCK gives me are impossible to comb through. Also, because this smooth lock is watery, I have to use more which definitely makes me think bad of Redken as a company. Selling a bad product for the same price as a far su

I do think the Smooth Down needed some updating like making it sulfate free. but changing the scent and how it works you may have just killed a line. r.i.p. smooth down. goodbye smooth lock.

I fell in love with the smooth down line. It had improve my hair's, condition to the point that i cud use my fingers to detangle just fine. I loved when i styled it curly and straight alike with the smooth down. Now with this new line my hair is brittle...dry...tangled everytime.I wash. Not happy with it at all!!!!!! So sad! Back on the search..... :-(

Smooth down was good the way it was, I don't know why they had to change it! I have used this new smooth lock for close to a month and my hair is horrid. The conditioner does not condition and it is no longer thick(really watered down compared to smooth down) so I have to use a lot more on my long hair. I agree smooth down needed an update. like making it sulfate free. But this new crap smooth lock does not work at all. Redken you may have just killed one of your best lines......

I have been using smooth down duo and heat glide for years! I have long hair, people always ask me what I use. I bought my years supply at the liter sale and have 12 of each. I want to cry! My hair feels gummy, not shiny, dirty, gross and tangled. I have no idea what to buy now and I might be hauling my shopping cart of lock products back. I'm so sad!
