URBAN CURL SERVICE MAINTENANCE TIPS:
- Avoid running your hands through your new curls for 48 hours after the service. Instead, scrunch and twist curls to enhance their shape
- Wash less, condition more. Shampoo 2-3 times a week but apply conditioner each time you shower
- Lightly towel-dry freshly shampooed curls—vigorous towel-drying can create frizz!
- Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle hair, working from the ends up to the root
- Curls love product! Start with a small amount in your hands and rake through hair. Apply more as needed. Comb through to distribute evenly.
- For a more uniform look, twist hair in large sections before drying
- Use a diffuser on low heat and low speed until hair is almost dry for a more natural result
- Try not to play with your hair as it dries—the more you touch the frizzier it will get
- For volume at the root, tip your head upside down when drying. For a more natural look tip head to the sides
