I actually started working in a Salon my Jr. Year in high school sweeping floors and folding towels. Needless to say, I fell in love and never left.
First I always start with a thorough consultation, even with returning guests. I like to get to know a person, their likes & dislikes; lifestyle, kids, work, & play all come into consideration. And of coarse their characteristics and features are major factors, such as eye color, skin tone, and facial structure.
I really am inspired by different aspects in life and often changes. Weather it be paintings, colors, nature, shapes, even architecture and buildings can sometimes inspire your creativity. My goal, sometimes easier said than done, is to find creativity and get inspired in my everyday life as well as when I’m in the salon
Communication is KEY! Find a Redken Certified Colorist, and make an appointment to explore the colorist as well as the salon. Bring pictures and questions of your concerns. You can discuss what your expectations are on that first visit, as well as a plan for your future appointments. Another major factor is maintenance. How often do you have to return, and what services will be required.
Of course! Everyone needs there own look or style, that’s what makes you unique. Sometimes it may even be just a different variation of another look, we just create it for that individual. You must customize, especially for different skin tones, grey coverage, and who doesn't want to brighten up those eyes
The first person who comes to mind is Jessica Simpson. She always has the most perfect curls, Even though they are mostly her extension. But what Celeb doesn't have great hair?? Unfortunately we can't all have pocket hairdressers.
Again I always consult with the Guest to make sure everything is perfect. I feel you really need to examine the hair, to determine whether to make changes or adjustments. I want to make sure that everything is working for that guest, in terms of style and color. Each time you may "tweak" a little something to perfect that look even further
