When did you know you wanted to do hair?

I was always good at doing my friends hair in high school, but I did not realize how much I love doing hair until I was in my twenties. I cannot imagine doing anything else.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color?

Doing haircolor for me is like painting a picture. Knowing where that haircolor will fall and how it will accentuate the silhouette helps give me inspiration on where and how to start that painting.

What inspires your creativity?

I took two years of drawing and architecture in college, and though it may sound strange, I find that this knowledge definitely inspires my creativity. Along with constant travel and people watching.

What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?

I would advise to start out soft and subtle, as you start to feel more comfortable we will amp it up!

Do you customize a hair color service for each and every client?

You must customize for each client. Not only does every client have different: hair texture, growth patterns, pigmentation, ect. ,every client has a different hair design as well. So, yes, I do.

What celebrity always has great hair?

I always love Jennifer Anniston's hair. Her highlights are beautifully placed, and the movement in her hair is fabulous.

What's your approach to returning haircolor clients?

I usually like to mix it up a bit. Even when a returning client loves what we did last appointment, I will add a little something more to our original color. Just to spice it up!
