When did you know you wanted to do hair?

I joke with people when they ask me how long I've done hair by saying, "I've done hair my whole life, I've just been licensed to do so since I was 18!" I've always known I loved to do hair, I was good at it, and it was fun... I never knew that I would be so satisfied and passionate about a career in the beauty industry as I am. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT I DO! And I sincerely feel I am so fortunate to have found something that I Love to do, & can make a career out of it. So Thank You. :)

How long have you been doing color?

I have been doing color casually since I was 15, professionally I've been doing it since I was 18. I have been a Redken Certified Hair Colorist for 3 years now.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair color?

I LOVE to be creative and to have fun with every color I do. If it is an "edgy" look that the client is after, or a "conservative" look, I am there to please the client and give them everything they are after, and more!

What inspires your creativity?

Ever since I can remember I have always been a "creative" person. I would have to say that life in general is what gives me my inspiration! I'm always looking around at the beautiful things that life offers us... and those beautiful things that are all around us is what I keep in my mind all the time. They inspires me to make my own masterpieces to add to this wonderful world.

What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?

Don't be scared! With today's technology, and the knowledge that I have received, you are in good hands. If you want to start out slow with a not so drastic change.... It's possible! If you are after a complete make-over... It's possible! In today's hair color world, their are numerous options. We could start out with a color glaze, giving you an incredible all over shine with or without a new tint of color, that will grow out with a soft line if any! Or we could give you that natural "sun kissed" look with a few framing highlights! The options are endless!

Do you customize a hair color service for each and every client?

Most definitely. I understand that the time they take out of their day and not to mention the expense of a service, is nothing to be taken advantage of. I definitely customize every service I do for each client, everytime. I'm not a stylist who already has the color mixed before my client comes in the door, I wait to see what the client wants that day, and may even change it slightly even if a change isn't needed, just to keep things new, improved, and always looking fabulous!

What celebrity always has great hair?

Well... I must admit that is a difficult question... I would say that I love Carrie Underwood's beautiful blond hair, Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous, natural looking sun kissed hair, and probably Jessica Alba's honey colored loose-locks. The list goes on...

What's your approach to returning haircolor clients?

When I am doing hair color, whether it is a new client, or one that I have seen more than once, I always listen. I listen to what their needs and desires are, and will do whatever it takes to achieve that look, while giving my own suggestions.

Describe your personal style:

My personal style is constantly changing! I can best describe my style like a lamp... :) a classic and timeless stand, with many different lamp shades ranging from basic to bold! It all depends on the mood and the season! :)
