When did you know you wanted to do hair?

When I was 3 years olds my grandpa would put on his swim suit and lay in the bath tub, just for me to shampoo his hair, was that a blast! Then as a little girl my mama went to have her hair set weekly and I always played with the rollers. As I became a teen I started doing my grandmother's hair. Three very important people to me led me in the direction- I guess you could say.

How long have you been doing color?

I have been coloring hair for 20 years.

What inspires your creativity?

I love looking at different things such as paintings, looking out the window, tv, or anything with colors. I like to think about the colors I am looking at and what colors I could make with what I see.

What advice would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?

Just be positive this is what you want. My advice is you will love the condition and body that the correct hair color will give. It's amazing what can be done with color. Let's work together and graduate you into a haircolor you will love!

Do you customize a hair color service for each and every client?

ALWAYS!!! I believe every client deserves their very own formula. No two people are created exactly the same, so haircolor should match their personality, profession, and skin color along with other personal attributes of the client.

What's your approach to returning haircolor clients?

My first question always is: Tell me what you like and dislike about your hair? After asking this question I give them my professional advice about what they need to personalize their color.
