Beginning her career at the age of 18 in the UK, Scottish-born Jenny Balding eventually directed her hairstyling career to New York City. Because of her expertise in cutting, styling and understanding men’s hair, her male clientele has grown exponentially over her years at Cutler Salon and she has styled the likes of The Foo Fighters and male hosts of The Today Show and is a go-to expert for consumer magazines on tips and tricks to styling and coloring men’s hair.
In addition to working behind the chair, Balding is a seasoned session stylist who has worked with Redken backstage at the top Fashion Week shows including Betsey Johnson, Carmen Marc Valvo and Tory Burch. She has also created the looks for editorial fashion spreads, and has been featured in publications including American Salon and television programs including Extra! and Good Day New York.
As the Redken For Men Consultant, Balding continues to be one of Redken’s driving forces when it comes to innovative styles and trends for today’s man. And, her constant desire to learn new techniques and evolve her expertise continue to make her one of the best in both the men’s and women’s hairstyling and a sought-after stylist by high profile New York clientele and celebrities alike.
