For instance, let's take the latest addition to the All Soft family: The Moisture Restore Leave-In Treatment. This hair primer is powered by hyaluronic acid, making it one of our strongest formulas yet.
So, what does hyaluronic acid do for your hair? Glad you asked! We spoke with dermatologist Dr. Mian to help explain this important ingredient.
"Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, a substance found naturally in our bodies that retains and preserves moisture. When applied to skin, it works by retaining water and drawing moisture to skin’s surface. When applied to hair, hyaluronic acid helps hair follicles lock in and retain moisture, revitalizing dry and damaged hair."
Not only does this ingredient help hair follicles retain moisture, it also hydrates the scalp. As she explains, "the humectant molecules in the formula attract and bind moisture to the scalp, preventing dry scalp and allowing collagen to thrive on skin."

This ingredient helps make our new leave-in one of the most restorative treatments for dry, brittle hair. DON'T SHAMPOO EVERY DAY
Overwashing your hair can strip your scalp of natural oils, which create a moisturizing barrier on your scalp. Instead, determine how often you should wash your hair depending on how quickly your roots turn greasy. If your hair is only moderately dry, reach for All Soft Softening Shampoo. If you experience extreme dryness, use All Soft Mega Moisturizing Shampoo.
CONDITION YOUR HAIR DAILY
By introducing moisture, conditioner makes hair silky and smooth. In the shower, apply it from mid-shaft to the ends, avoiding the roots, where hair is the newest. (If you frequently color your hair or have damage, feel free to bring the conditioner all the way up to the root—just be sure to rinse thoroughly). For normal to dry hair, use All Soft Softening Conditioner. If you have severely dry or coarse hair, use All Soft Mega Moisturizing Conditioner. Once you rinse, you’ll have soft hair that is more manageable and easier to comb through.
USE A WEEKLY TREATMENT FOR DRY HAIR
For an extra boost of softness and shine, hair treatments, oils, masks and creams can be used in addition to your shampoo and conditioner. Adding a hair treatment for dry hair to your weekly regimen will help lock in and retain moisture, improving the overall health of your hair.

GIVE YOUR HEAT STYLING PRODUCTS A BREAK
Heat styling tools like hair dryers, curling irons or flat irons can do a number on your strands, resulting in dull, dry, brittle hair. Air-dry whenever you can, but if you must heat style, use a heat protectant to prevent further damage and add shine.
